Step 1. Log in to the Ed-Fi Management dashboard.
Step 2. Prepare your files for loading.
File naming: Each attributes/certificates file should be a comma-separated file (CSV). The file naming convention is description.csv where:
description is any description you would like to add
yyy is the file type extension, which should be .csv
File formatting: View the CSV templates below for more detail about the required format for the student attributes file and the student certificates file.
Step 3. Upload your attributes/certificates files via the “Student Attributes” section within the Ed-Fi Management dashboard. As with assessments, the attribute loading process is a two-step process:
Upload attributes/certificates for processing, which generates an import file.
Import file is imported into the ODS for the district to eventually view via the CCMR Insights Dashboard.
There will be a delay between these two steps. Attributes/Certificates data that were uploaded via the Ed-Fi Monitoring dashboard will only be visible on the district’s CCMR Insights Dashboard after the nightly refresh has been completed.
Attribute loader functionality
As indicated on the image to the left, the attribute loader will allow you to:
Upload a spreadsheet that lists industry-based certifications and Level I/Level II certifications that multiple students have earned (see certificates template above);
Upload a spreadsheet that lists attributes for multiple students, such as college application completion (see attributes template above); and
Update data related to certifications or attributes for individual students (see screenshot below). On this screen, you can check the box if a student has completed a college application, check the box if a student has completed a financial aid application, add date(s) that the student took the ASVAB or completed an associate degree, and add industry-based certifications or Level I/Level II certifications.
