The purpose of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) program is to determine whether students are prepared for credit-bearing, college-level courses.

Resources from TEA

  • Read the February 2021 TAA about the statewide rate for college preparation assessments.

  • Learn more about college preparation assessments funded by HB 3.

  • View TEA’s college preparation assessment comparison chart.Important note:

  • In April 2021, TEA reported they do not plan to include TSIA2 diagnostic scores for CCMR credit in A-F accountability calculations. However, they will continue to analyze TSIA2 diagnostic scores until spring 2022 before making a final decision about whether or not those scores will be used. As a result, 2021 graduates may be considered college-ready for enrollment in an institution of higher education, but not college-ready for CCMR in the 2022 A-F accountability system (slides 30-31 in the April 2021 State Accountability Update)Review a document TEA released in August 2021 that describes how 2021 graduates can meet TSI standards on the TSI-A (1.0) and/or TSIA2 for 2022 accountability reports.
