The purpose of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) program is to determine whether students are prepared for credit-bearing, college-level courses.

  • Important note: In spring April 2021, TEA reported that the diagnostic portion of the TSIA2 will probably not be considered they do not plan to include TSIA2 diagnostic scores for CCMR credit in A-F accountability calculations. However, they will continue to analyze TSIA 2.0 diagnostic scores until spring 2022 before making a final determination about whether those scores will be used. As a result, some students may be considered college-ready for enrollment in an institution of higher education, but not college-ready for CCMR in the A-F accountability system (slides 30-31 in the April 2021 State Accountability Update).
